On Wednesday 27 April 2011 in the ICVS Board Room 15 intrepid individuals / representatives from 15 different organisations based in Suffolk began their journey of knowledge on Social Enterprise. Shpetim Alimeta of the Social Enterprise Innovations (SEI) led the facilitation of the Workshop for all budding Social Entrepreneurs, developing the understanding and knowledge on this exciting and innovative approach to our work within the Voluntary and Community Sector.
The Workshop was well received with very positive feedbacks ensuring this is a much needed tool in individuals skill set for the future.
The surpluses from bookings made by the participants at this training event were invested back onto two attending organisations ( ICENI Project & Volunteer Ipswich, see photos below) randomly selected after the training day.
Responding to the wider interest shown by the local Voluntary and Community Sector, ICVS, in partnership with Shpetim, will be running these Workshops later in 2011. Keep an eye on our events diary further information please
